Ingredients

Suya Beef Burger Ingredients:

  • 350g Ground/minced Beef
  • Cheese Slices (Cheddar)
  • Plum Tomatoes
  • Baby Iceberg / Lettuce
  • Burger Buns
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon All Purpose Seasoning
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Suya Pepper
  • 1 Egg
  • Ketchup
  • Mayonaise
  • Hot Sauce
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Nonstick Pan

Instructions

  • In a clean bowl, add your minced beef, then season with some salt, some all-purpose seasoning, garlic powder, Cameroon pepper, thyme, and some suya spice. After that is done, mix up the ingredients with your hand.
  • Add one egg to the minced beef and proceed with mashing up again. Next, form a flat burger meat shape and place each one on a clean plate.
  • Take out your burger buns and place them on a flat plate. The next thing to do would be to toast the burger buns nicely. Get a non-stick pan and add your buns without oil or water. Then, allow it to toast for a few seconds.
  • When you're done with the buns, place them aside. In the same pan, add some vegetable oil and then transfer the beef into the pan gently. Allow it to cook on each side till it's ready. It should take about 3-4 minutes but it all still depends on how light or thick your beef is. If it's thicker, it may take a while.
  • Get ready to make your cheddar cheese. Add some cheese slices on top of the beef, each one on its own. Take it off the heat immediately as you don't want your cheese to melt away on the beef before you even have a chance to eat it.
Now, assemble your buns, separating the tops from the bottom. Once that is done, take a bun and add some ketchup to it. Add some hot sauce, a few onion rings, and some lettuce.
  • Now, do that for the rest of the buns. Next, add the beef on top of the lettuce, one by one. You can now add a slice of tomato to the serving. Cover the top of the burger with the other part which is coated in mayonnaise underneath. You can add bacon if you have it at hand.
