The Perfect Banana Bread Recipe: If you are a lover of bread, you must have tasted a lot of breads, and you’ve possibly wondered how to make them. Also, you could have tried making some recipes, or not. Well, we’re bringing you a tutorial on how to make the tastiest and the perfect banana bread recipe. This recipe is super amazing, and you can bet your horses that you’ll get addicted.

So, let’s get started!


Banana bread:
* 3 ripe very, very ripe bananas
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1/2 cup melted butter/ oil
* 1/2 cup white sugar(3/4 cup if you like it very sweet or if using medium ripe bananas)
* 1/2 cup buttermilk or unsweetened yogurt
* 2 medium-sized eggs
* 1/4 cup peanut butter
* 1½ cup all-purpose flour (200g)
* 1 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon nutmeg
* 1/4 cup peanuts.


Start by peeling the skin off your bananas and placing them in a clean bowl. Now, mash with a mixer or with a fork. Mix until it’s soft and supple. Now, add your vanilla extract and add some oil into the banana mix. Add your buttermilk, add your eggs and mix once more. Mix until the ingredients are evenly mixed. Next, add some peanut butter and stir. Now is the time to add your sugar to the bowl. Next, sieve your all-purpose flour into the paste. Add baking powder, baking soda and some salt. Now, gently sieve them into the paste. Next, grate some nutmeg into the paste and mix them together. Mix until it’s soft and supple.

In a non-stick spray pan, sprinkle light oil onto the pan and add your paste to the pan. Also add your remaining paste into another oil-sprinkled non-stick pan. Now, pour some peanuts into a sealing bag and gently seal it. Now, use a flour roller or any wooden kitchen utensil of your choice, could be a pestle – to gently mash the peanuts into bits. When you’re done, sprinkle the peanuts onto the paste and do the same for the other pan.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit (ca. 177 °C) or 175 degree Celsius for 30 minutes. Take the cake off the oven. Your delicious banana cake is ready to be eaten.


The best type of banana to use for this recipe is usually the very, very ripe types. Don’t use unripe or partly ripe bananas. Increase baking time to 45 minutes to 50 minutes if using a single loaf pan.
To make buttermilk, mix 1/2 cup of milk with 11/2 teaspoon white vinegar or lemon. Allow to sit for 10 minutes, milk will curdle. Mix and use.
