Homemade Peanut Butter: Hello food lovers! Today’s recipe borders around making peanut butter at home using only a few ingredients. You can make this peanut butter recipe for your friends and family or even for yourself. It can go with a lot of foods, and it’s also healthy.
Homemade Peanut Butter is a quick, home-style version of the classic spread. Peanuts are combined with salt, sugar and vegetable oil to form the delicious smooth paste that the whole world loves. No added chemicals, preservatives or colors, just all natural ingredients.
Homemade Peanut Butter
Ingredients
- 2 Cups of Unsalted Roasted Peanuts (about 200-300g)
- 1-2 Teaspoons of White Sugar (to taste)
- Pinch of Salt (to taste)
- 1-2 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
Instructions
- First, know that for this recipe, you will need a food processor. We do not recommend using a blender, unless you are absolutely certain that you've got a very powerful blender. Most blenders aren't strong enough to handle this process.
- Now, into the food processor, add your unsalted peanuts. Gently crush up the peanuts. You'll notice that it is well ground now, but it isn't sticky yet. Next, we'll add a bit of sugar and a pinch of salt. Next, add 1 Tablespoon of Vegetable oil. Now, as before, grind until it's smooth.
- Add more oil and grind again. After that is done, open it up and have a taste if you must. Check and adjust the ingredients as you see fit, if it requires more salt, then do so.
- Now, transfer the butter into an airtight container. If you want a thicker or thinner peanut butter, use a little less oil for a thicker result and more oil for a thinner result.
- You can keep it in the fridge to chill until you're ready to use. It's best to keep it in the fridge to preserve it for longer. Enjoy.

A packet of Unsalted Peanuts was used for this recipe (the same kind you would eat as a snack) which are usually already roasted. If you are using raw nuts, you can lightly toast them in the oven if you like.
