Ingredients

  • Half litre of full cream milk
  • 100 grams of dark chocolate
  • 70 percent cocoa
  • 1 or 2 cinnamon bark
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • Few drops of vanilla essence
  • 1 tablespoon of pure cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Place a pan on medium to high heat. Pour the milk into the pan. Add your cinnamon bark to the milk. Now, add some drops of vanilla essence.
  • Stir to combine. Allow to cook for a bit or until you start to see bubbles. Stir once more and allow to cook for about 10 minutes. The reason is to let the cinnamon exert its flavor into the milk.
  • Now, take off the cinnamon from the milk. Add one full tablespoon of cocoa powder into the boiling milk. Stir it in to combine evenly.
  • After that, allow to cook for a bit and add a pinch of sugar for taste. Also add a pinch of salt too. Next, add all your chocolate bars.
  • Stir them all together and watch the chocolate melt so fast. Stir very gently until it is incorporated. When the bars have fully melted, you'll see that you have a chocolate like mixture.
  • It is up to you at this point to leave the heat on or off. If you put the heat off, you can serve it right away, but if you leave the heat on, the creaminess will increase.
  • To serve, pour your chocolate into a plate and serve with some sliced bread and some butter. You can also add whipped cream and extra sugar if you wish.
